Hi! Tyler here today and I am writing a series on the birds in my area. The 1st bird in the series is the Red-tailed Hawk. They live year-round in most of United States of America. They are commonly seen perched on trees, poles, or fence posts along the road or fields. They mainly feeds on small mammals. They have a stocky and broad body, with rounded wings and a short tail. Red-tailed Hawks have a striking red tail.
